Ikuko has recently been appointed as the Musician-in-residence at Clifton High School, an independent school in Bristol. She looks forward to be joining the thriving Music Department and working closely with the Heads of Music and Music teachers to nurture young talented musicians and further develop their love of music.

As her first engagement, in the afternoon of 27 May 2021, Ikuko will be playing a concert and talking to Music GCSE, A-level, Music tech students, Music scholars and pianists in the newly refurbished, beautiful performance room at the School. The programme includes two piano works that GCSE and A-level are currently studying as part of set work, Beethoven’s “Pathétique” Sonata and Debussy’s Estampes

This concert will be Ikuko’s first live performance after a long period of lockdown. She is truly thrilled to be returning to performing live and looking forward to future collaborations with staff and students at Clifton High School.
